Membership



Membership in the National Association of Long Term Hospitals (NALTH) is comprised of those hospitals located in the United States that are certified and participate in the Medicare program, those hospital associations which are constituent members of the American Hospital Association and those hospitals which satisfy any other qualifications or criteria established by NALTH board members.

Membership Benefits and Opportunities
NALTH is actively involved at the state and national level developing policies and recommending policy priorities. NALTH works with constituency-level insurers, Medicare HMOs groups and QIOs to develop and draft new policy initiatives affecting rehab protocol in long-term care hospitals, patient admission and continued stay criteria for payment.

Membership benefits for NALTH members include opportunities to participate on task forces to develop strategies targeting long-term care hospital industry challenges and influence policies affected by changes in DRG methodology due to MedPAC Specialty.

NALTH members have many benefits and opportunities to demonstrate that patients who access LTCHs have better outcomes.
